It’s like being handed a mirror and realizing it’s a window.

LOVED the writing in this, I thought it did a great job of creeping up and showing exactly what type of person Sara is, from every single head-hit, and culminating when she is finally labeled an asshole. I hate her, but I am her ... this game does a great job of showing a vision of a dark future, making me jump up from bed like Ebenezer Scrooge and swear to change my ways!

uhhh... two end? I forgot something??

hit me like a ton of bricks

this was incredible

Beutiful Person's Disposition.

i find myself completely drawn in by this style of world building you're able to pull off. I feel like im being rattled around until i clip out of bounds into the gap between reality and fantasy, where the two meet and are - inevitably - just as real as the other. another wonderful VN, thank you!

A gorgeously directed and produced game in service of a poignant anti-romance story filled with a low-key dread. Just another good, honest, feel-bad banger of a VN. Thank you.

"Yes, I mean you." immediate psychic damage in real life, terrifying

I really liked this one. The aesthetic is super-sharp and well-done, and the character stories landed strongly for me. Nice work!

Such a charming game! I loved the visuals, paper is such a physical medium to call attention to: something to be tossed, crumpled, torn apart--and in arts and crafts, something to create and project an image on to. Even something you can make a box from :P

I'm trying not to lean on the read too much, but the mention of BPD really lends a tint to this, haha. Chewing on all the different perspectives, especially come a "new" character (to us, at least) at the very end! You'd think that'd give us a nice "objective" break on things, but--well, the "endings". I like to think both are true, in their own ways, to different people. There's only one ending for Sara, after all!

Thank you for sharing it ^^

A very mysterious yet compelling VN, this one.  Even as the line separating reality from delusion grows fuzzier, the anguish still burns through brightly, somehow clearer than ever even as everything else melds together in an indistinguishable blur...

That aside, I was endlessly charmed by the character portraits!  The subtle animation to the sprites together with the paper-craft styling for the facial expressions (with a distinct style for each character, no less!) was such a treat for the eyes, heheheh~  I also greatly enjoyed the soundtrack; it worked quite well to help tie the experience together.

Great job on this one!

I was looking for some sad games about obsession bc i’m fully going through it rn but i didn’t expect to find such a beautiful visual novel, i literally felt so seen. The writing it’s perfect, made me feel like you guys put cameras in my room. Also the visuals and sounds are really beautiful. Made me cry, 10/10 recommended.

I read through this and kitten milk replacer almost back to back and I think it broke me a bit.
It was really intimate, atmospheric and immersive. Some of Sara’s (and Alex’s) compulsions ring far too familiar to be comfortable.

Thank you, I’ll be thinking about this story a lot.

such a great visual novel. all of the little flourishes done in regards to the visual presentation immediately had me charmed. it seems simplistic at first but it feels so Purposefully Done at every point. the writing is also great. the first half had already gripped me by being, well, incredibly relatable, but the ways in which the delusional side of things slowly crept up on me has kept me thinking about this story on and off since i played it. great job

Middle Sea, you've done it again!!

Katey, I voiced some of my thoughts to you privately, but this is a really nice work you two have made. kitten milk replacer was an early highlight to me when I was playing the vncup submissions and I was so glad to see you had decided to participate in our jam.

Your writing is so smooth and accessible to fall into but it's in no way simplistic, you have the hold over a very nice prose that in a way sets up allegorical walls over something with a scent so standout that your mind starts to wander aimlessly into it. You write 'experience' really well, experience as in the effect of going through this bite-sized tragedy.

The art direction you've gone for in this game is also very cute - it's unique and really adds a lot toward the wholeness of the novel. The different styles of cutout faces for each character, lightly implicating facets of their personality (or rather interpretation through Sara) was really nice to observe. The sprites aren't longingly rendered anime girls with dozens of moe expressions and I guess that might throw off a portion of the audience, but to me it doesn't matter one bit when you have such an established style you're going for.

Fotocopiadora really came in hard as the composer for this project, none of the tracks felt out of place or forced. The feeling of belonging in the OST really served toward a quick and easy immersion into Sara's mind. Not only that, I feel the songs and ambiance would be pleasant to listen to on their own~

really good stuff you two!! excited to see what middle sea software does next

This is a very richly textured narrative, visually, psychologically, and even in the way the story beats are structured.

The Sara in my life is my best friend, and the feelings are very starkly and authentically captured. The aesthetics you chose for this project are put to very, very good use.

I love the style of this game! Really unique. But the real draw here is the writing. You really get drawn into Sara's mind here, and it was really interesting!

(+3)

The way the writing delves into a personal space that’s both uncomfortable and intimate is incredible. And it jives well with the sticky notes aesthetic because, well, it defines the kind of relationships the game explores. I can’t really express it, but I really found it mesmerizing and wonderful.

always really astounded by your ability to thoroughly flesh out the internal processes that guide this type of girl which frequently appears in your games. another certified bagenzo classic.
